Going Back to the Fuji X100 Series (again)
I went and bought a Fuji X100T and I’m wondering why I ever left the Fuji X100 series.
This has happened before, a few years back I sold my Fuji X100 and then got it again and then sold it again and now I’m back to owning a Fuji 100T…
Fuji 18mm F1.4 Lens Review
I upgraded to the 18mm 1.4 from the 23mm 1.4 in 2022
TL:DR (Too Long - Didn’t Read ) This lens is a great, light, quick-to-focus lens with great image quality and a surprisingly nice depth of field when shot at F1.4 - It pairs fantastically well with the 33mm F1.4 which is my go-to combo for wedding photography.
Fuji X-H2 Review / Upgrading from the Fuji X-H1
My first few months with the new Fujifilm XH2 camera!
This is going to be a bit of a long review detailing my first few months with the XH2 and how it’s working out for me, it’s very much a real-world review so I won’t be doing sensor tests and all that jazz, instead just a rambling of thoughts and some example photos!
What's in my Kit Bag? / The Fuji X-H2 is Here!
As the year is coming to an end I’ve made the plunge and upgraded my kit.
With a few more weddings to shoot, but much more time in between I find the off-season to be a much better time to change gear. This allows me time to learn the new kit and how I work with it, whilst not being overwhelmed with work, I’ll also be using my old kit as a backup just incase I need it…
Mitakon 35mm F0.95 Lens for Fuji - Review
Full Disclosure. I’ve now sold this lens and opted for the Fuji 33mm 1.4 which given that it’s weather-resistant, has autofocus, and is just really really good means there was no room for this lens in my bag as well, even though it is a really special bit of glass.
Behind the Scenes Wedding Photography at Lyde Court, Herefordshire
Mounting a GoPro onto my camera while I shoot candids…
Time to do something a little different and something that I’ve been meaning to do much more of this year - behind-the-scenes videos of how I shoot.
I chose to do these during the drinks reception as it’s a good time to move around and get a lot of different photos and also not such a crucial time of the day that I’ll find the GoPro distracting…
7Artisans 12mm f2.8 lens for Fuji - Review
7artisans make cheap manual focus lenses that are ideal if you need something to fill a gap in your lens range, need an infrequently used focal length, or just want to try out something different without breaking the bank.
I got this lens to cover a job I had shooting some interior photos, while not all of the shoot was done this wide it was good for those tight spaces where the 16mm just wouldn’t have cut it and I didn’t want to fork out for the Fuji 10-24mm (my gear already covers the top end of this range) and I’m not a fan of renting lenses.
The job more than covered the cost of the lens, so an afternoon out shooting and I came away with this lens to add to my bag.
