Relaxed wedding films
Similar in style to my photography, my wedding films take a documentary approach.
I focus on capturing the day as it actually happens; the people, the atmosphere, the little moments and everything in between.
There’s no need to perform for the camera or spend hours setting up shots. For most of the day I’ll stay in the background and let you get on with enjoying your wedding, while I capture it naturally as it unfolds.
The result is a film that feels like your wedding, not a wedding made for the film.
Your wedding.
As it happened.
Your wedding isn't a film set.
You shouldn't have to spend your wedding worrying about where the camera is or whether you're doing the right thing.
I don't ask you to repeat moments, manufacture reactions or disappear for hours to create cinematic shots. I'll give you a little direction when it's useful, particularly during some relaxed couple footage, but otherwise I want things to happen naturally.
You enjoy the wedding. I'll worry about filming it.

So... am I going to have a camera in my face all day?
No. In fact, for large parts of the day I'd quite like you to forget I'm there.
I'll usually arrive around two hours before the ceremony and start by documenting the preparations and everything happening around you.
During the ceremony and speeches I'll work as discreetly as possible, using multiple cameras and separate audio so I don't need to be constantly moving around.
We'll spend a little time getting some relaxed footage of the two of you, but there are no lengthy video shoots or endless retakes.
Then it's back to documenting everything happening around you through dinner, speeches, the first dance and the start of the party.
Minimal direction. No retakes. No turning your wedding into a production.
A few things you might be wondering.
Hopefully I've covered most things, but these are some of the questions that tend to come up before booking.
-
I don’t do both at the same time. I’ve played around with it and find keeping my focus on one or the other produces a better overall result.
-
Yes. You get a film of the ceremony and the speeches, alongside this I’ll use audio clips of both in your main film.
-
Yes. I’ll grab a couple of drone shots for the film, weather and venue permitting.
-
4-6 weeks after the wedding.
-
Yes. I’m very easy going and happy to work alongside your photographer so we can both get the best result for your wedding day.
