Documentary-ish. I photograph weddings in a natural, relaxed way, concentrating on real moments, genuine emotion and everything happening between the formalities. I won’t spend the day staging photographs or asking people to say “cheese”, although I’m always happy to offer a little direction when it’s helpful.
-
Start by getting in touch with your date, venue and a few details about your plans. If I’m available, I’ll send you everything you need to book. Your date is secured once the contract has been signed and the booking fee has been paid.
-
About a month before the wedding, I’ll send you a questionnaire covering the timings, locations, key people and everything else I need to know.
I’ll use that information to build a clear picture of the day. A few days before the wedding, I’ll get in touch again to confirm my arrival time and any final details. You’re welcome to contact me at any point if you have questions.
-
I photograph weddings throughout the UK. Travel and any necessary accommodation are included in the price, so there are no unexpected travel charges to add later.
-
Of course. Although most of my work is natural and unstaged, I appreciate the importance of family group photographs and a few portraits of the two of you.
I’ll organise these efficiently and keep them relaxed, so you get the photographs you want without spending a large part of the wedding away from your guests.
-
Rain doesn’t stop you having brilliant wedding photographs. I’ll work with the weather, the available light and the locations around your venue, using sheltered or indoor spaces when needed.
If there’s a break in the weather, we can quickly head outside. There’s no pressure to stand in the rain unless you’re happy to embrace it.
-
I usually work alone, which suits my quiet and unobtrusive approach. If your plans, guest numbers or multiple locations would benefit from additional coverage, we can discuss adding a trusted second photographer.
-
Yes. I’m fully insured to provide drone photography and, when conditions allow, I can capture aerial photographs of your wedding and its surroundings.
Drone coverage can’t be guaranteed because it depends on the weather, safe flying conditions, airspace restrictions and the venue’s permission, but I’ll use it whenever it’s safe, legal and appropriate for the day.
-
I’m rarely ill, but if I were completely unable to photograph your wedding, I would contact my trusted network of experienced wedding photographers and do everything reasonably possible to arrange suitable cover.
I would never leave you to deal with the situation alone.
-
Yes. I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance, and all my equipment is insured. Copies of the relevant documents can be provided to your venue if required.
-
Yes. I carry multiple cameras and lenses, so if a piece of equipment develops a fault, I can immediately continue with a backup.
My cameras also record photographs to multiple memory cards, helping to protect your images throughout the day.
-
The first job is to create several backups of your photographs. I then carefully review and edit the complete set before uploading the finished collection to your private online gallery.
I’ll email you as soon as everything is ready.
-
You’ll usually receive at least 400 individually edited photographs with full-day coverage.
The final number varies because every wedding is different. Guest numbers, timings, locations and everything that happens during the day can all affect the size of the finished collection.
I’ll always endeavour to deliver as many photos as possible from your wedding day.
-
Your complete gallery will normally be ready within 4 to 6 weeks. Delivery is often quicker during quieter periods.
I’ll also send you a small preview within a couple of days after the wedding, so you have something to enjoy and share while I work on the full collection.
-
Your finished photographs will be delivered through a private online gallery. You’ll be able to view, download and share the collection with your family and friends.
I’ll also send a USB and a few prints so you have a physical copy.
-
Yes. You’ll receive permission to download, print and share your photographs for personal use.
I retain the copyright unless we agree otherwise in the contract, which simply means the photographs cannot be sold or used commercially without permission.
-
If you need to move your wedding and I’m available on the new date, I’ll transfer your booking across.
If I’m unavailable or the wedding is cancelled, the cancellation terms in the contract will apply. The initial booking fee is non-refundable. If you cancel 29 days or more before the wedding, the remaining balance will not be due. If you cancel within 28 days of the wedding, the full fee is payable.
If you think your plans may need to change, contact me as soon as possible and we’ll discuss the best way forward.
