A relaxed summer wedding at Davenport House in Shropshire, from getting ready in the cottages to a beautiful ceremony in the house and a packed dance floor to finish.

Charlotte and Joseph’s summer wedding took place at Davenport House, a beautiful country house wedding venue in Shropshire. They both got ready on site, with Charlotte starting the morning in the Carriage Cottage before moving across to the main house to put on her dress, while Joseph got ready with his groomsmen nearby.

Before the ceremony they exchanged letters to read while getting ready, which made for a lovely quiet moment in an otherwise busy morning. Everyone then gathered in Davenport House’s main hall for their 2pm ceremony.

Afterwards it was time for drinks and photographs around the house and grounds. We kept the couple photographs relaxed and fairly quick, alongside a few family and wedding party photos, before Charlotte and Joseph headed back to spend the rest of the reception with their guests.

The celebrations continued inside Davenport House into the evening, finishing with a packed dance floor and live music from Apollo Gold. A brilliant summer wedding and a lovely example of having the whole day in one place, from getting ready in the morning right through to the party.
