Relaxed couples portraits on a wedding day + Fuji XH1 + 33mm 1.4 lens

I love a Lyde Court Wedding!

β€œOh we love them!!! Thank you so much. We’re smiling so much in them!”

- Beth + Alex

The weekend after the massive heatwave we had in the UK was Beth and Alex’s wedding at the always lovely Lyde Court and thankfully a much cooler day!

I set off from home after a last bit of gear checking and snack-buying, hopped in the car and put on a bit of Dragonforce to hype myself up and get myself in the zone.

My day started with the bride and bridesmaids in the beautiful white room at Lyde, which is so so so good for taking photos in!

The girls got ready as did the guys and then it was ceremony time in the rose barn. Confetti and drinks followed, and for this one I strapped my go pro to my camera to create a bit of behind the scenes footage of how I shoot.

Family groups and a few relaxed couples portraits came next, after which everyone headed inside for food, speeches, and dancing.

I headed off at about 10pm and did my ritualistic drive to Maccies for a late night snack before getting home, cracking open a beer and backing up the images from the day.

The wedding was shot on my usual gear <
