A Fantastic Winter Wedding at Brinsop Court!

β€œAbsolutely blown away by these. The way you have captured the beauty, emotion and happiness of the day is nothing short of perfect.

We will treasure these forever. Thank you so much for being such a huge part of our day.”

-Tom + Sami

Cast yourself back to December 2022 and to the week just after it was insanely cold here in the UK!

Tom + Sami started their wedding day at the always fantastic Brinsop Court and while the weather was still chilly it wasn’t the minus 12 degrees of the week previously, which was rather good as it felt comparatively warm.

My day started with bridal prep in the French Room as well as a little groom prep on the other side of the house, we were joined by the most wonderful dog (dogs at weddings are awesome) and the morning was a very nice relaxed start to the day.

The ceremony was in the suitably Christmas-themed hall at Brinsop and the light just poured in through the windows.

Winter light can be a challenge at times, as the sun sits low in the sky you get a lot of direct light, and in this case strong backlight, but leaning into this as a stunning effect for a photo is the way to go and I’m super happy with how the images came out.

Shortly after we headed out for group shots and the couples’ portraits before walking up to the Knot barn for sparklers (instead of confetti, which is always a great idea in winter) and the evening party. This was a lovely wedding to shoot and my last wedding of 2022.

The wedding was shot on my usual gear <
