It’s not often I get to shoot a wedding outside so I was so excited to shoot Robin and Jade’s wedding down in Bristol in 2018 - Gear packed I drove on down and just after crossing the wonderful Clifton Suspension bridge I got to the Hotel where Jade and her bridesmaids were getting ready.

As far as rooms go it was awesome, lovely grey walls and lots of interesting light made it slightly different from the usual setup. One question I get on wedding mornings is if I would like the room tidied up, I always say no, I would much rather have the room as it is when you’re getting ready, I feel a clean, sterile room doesn’t tell as interesting a story.

Bride and the girls ready it was time for the outdoor (I love outside weddings) ceremony. The couple tied the knot under a flower arch in front of their nearest and dearest. After which everyone grabbed some beers and played some Hammerschlagen (fun to play and fun to say), if you’re planning a wedding then set this game up, it’s an instant favourite.

Drinks, food, speeches and dancing was the plan for the evening and each one was delivered in style, soon the night wrapped up and I headed home.

A great wedding with fantastic people!

Shot on my usual gear, if you are planning a wedding and are looking for a Bristol wedding photographer then do get in touch!
