Rebecca + Ralph - Sopwell House, St. Albans

Confetti cannon.

Confetti cannon.

So back in October of last year I headed down to St. Albans for Rebecca and Ralph's wedding at the lovely Sopwell House

I was looking forward to this wedding for some time, as I had back in 2015 shot the wedding of some of their friends so was keen for a catch up.

Rebecca + Ralph - "Thank you for the pictures and thank you again for everything you did on the day. Definitely beyond the call of duty for a photographer. "

In the run up to the wedding there was the constant forecast of rain, particularly on the day itself where I feared that we wouldn't be able to get outside at all, and even though the rain came down in the morning come the afternoon and right after the ceremony it cleared up and we were all having drinks on the patio.

I felt like a true guest at this wedding, which is by far my prefered way of working, if people arent aware of who I am and what I do I believe I can make better pictures and this wedding was no exception.

There was so much going on through the day but for me the highlight was the photo at the start of this post, safe to say confetti cannons are incredible and I hope I see more at my weddings in the future!

Gear wise this day was shot on the Fuji X100T and XE2+56mm for most of it, with the 14mm coming in a bit.

I hope you enjoy the post, feel free to leave a comment below.

Cheers, Col-
