Nikki & Chris - A Lake District Wedding - Ambleside

Find me a better location for a church. You can't.

This wedding started with a few days in the Lake District to relax and unwind, after all I wasn't going to go all that way to this beautiful place and not spend some time for myself there!

I met Nikki and Chris for the first time the day before the wedding, where the weather was baking, Ambleside was looking great and I got my first look at the church with The View to rule them all, and what's more they informed me that they would be staying up here for drinks right after the ceremony.

To start the day I headed up to the house which must have one if the best views in Ambleside, we shot a bit of getting ready and the bride gave her father a rather touching handkerchief, I just love moments like these, it's what weddings are made of for me.

After this I headed down the hill (the very steep hill) and over to the church where I met up with Chris and all of the guests, after a quick check in with the priest It was game time. The car arrived and if you take a look below there is a shot of the brides father looking chuffed to bits, and rightly so!

The ceremony happened, confetti happened and we did a few shots of the family then moved onto the evening.

I then took a break as the evening wasn't starting for an hour, so I got my lunch, applied some more sun cream and chilled out by Windermere. Did I say how much I loved this wedding?

The evening came around with Disney themed tables, beer, loads of food, cake, a great band, some heartfelt speeches, more cakes and the groom making an on stage performance with his guitar and then some more cake.

Overall this wedding was exactly my kind of thing, no fussing, no stressing just good people having a great time.

Thank you guys for bringing me up to this wonderful part of the county and for having me be your wedding photographer.
