Sam & Sophie - Brinsop Court. Herefordshire

A great day in the lovely Hereford countryside.

What can I say. This wedding was just the most fun to shoot.

I've know the groom Sam for many years from a long time ago in school, as such a year or so ago when he got in touch for me to shoot his wedding I was more than game. This wedding was at Brinsop Court in Herefordshire, now if you've never been let me sum it up in one word. Beautiful.

The day started with some bridal prep [in what is possibly the best lit room for shooting getting ready shots], a bit of groomsmen prep, some coffee and a wonder around the venue.

Before long we were all heading over to the church with the weather holding off from raining, the guests arrived as did the bridesmaids, then the bride and her father came in a stunning Aston Martin DB6, I grabbed a few shots before we headed inside and the ceremony began.

Now if i could only shoot one part of the wedding day, one 30 minute section to get the most/best photos it would be when the couple come out of the church, the excitement and love that is shown by this point is so intense, people are hugging and shaking hands all over the place and due to the relative chaos I can remain undetected and shoot right next to people.

We headed back to Brinsop after the church for lots of food, music, drinks and dancing. I grabbed a beer and got to shooting the reception, luckily the weather by this point had cleared and it was a sunny day. We did some very brief group shots then it was onto speeches which the guys decided to do out in the courtyard so their evening guests could also join [awesome idea].

The band started up and the people showed their moves, good times.

This wedding was such a treat to shoot and be involved in, a relaxed, chilled day with the focus on having an excellent time at an incredible place.

GEAR: X100T and X-E2+56 [about 90% of the shots were with the X100T] + Nissin i40 Flash for dancing.
