Back to Work.

My last wedding, and one of my favourite shots of the year.

My last wedding, and one of my favourite shots of the year.

So it's about a week into January and time to get some blogs written, I've got some really cool weddings coming up and some more gear stuff too, the 15th seems to be the day all us Fuji Fans are waiting for with the X-E2 firmware, X-Pro2, X70 and perhaps a few more things, who knows.

I've also got a few more wedding fayres coming up this year which I'm really looking forward to, as it stands I'm on 14 weddings booked in this year and hoping to reach the goal of 25, lets see how it goes!

My thoughts on the Fuji X-E2s and all that.

So this comes before the 15th and Fuji day, where we see a good number of new cameras and firmware updates. I'm keen to try the X-Pro2 but wont get one for a year at least while the price drops, the rumours £1600 price tag is too rich for me, but i'll be going to the photography show this year so thats where I'll be getting my hands on one to have a play with!

The X-E2s is a surprise form a fuji, a seemingly firmware only upgrade which I'm keen to see what it is, I won't get one, I don't think anyone will to be honest, but with this I'm gear to see if us X-E2 users get a minor firmware upgrade while the main stuff goes into this new camera, who knows.

Firmware is what it's all about for me, I love my X-E2 and what it does for me, I don't feel the need to upgrade all the time so a firmware update can breath new life into a camera for me, but if the upgrade is small or doesn't give the updated autofocus systems then I may look at moving over to the X-T10 as they are super cheap right now and that flip out screen is something I'm keen on.

Glass

The 16mm. Thats my next goal [I think], for this I'll be doing my usually thing of selling what I have to fund the upgrade and keeping my kit nice and slim but able to cover all bases. I'd sell the 18mm and 12mm to fund this but it's still not a definite thing, I'll see how the bookings come in for this year and if this piece of kit is really worth buying.

Keeping busy

I'm making myself take more photo trips this year, I've got a the Zoo tomorrow where I'll be giving the 56mm a good workout and a bit of a blog on that and I'll be doing more hiking and adventures than I did last year, I really want to have the content for the blog and it's always nice during this downtime to get out there and actually take some photos, so stay tuned for more outdoors blogs and some Fuji adventure.

Thats all for now while I write new blogs and get out there and shoot! Hope you enjoyed the rather random selection of photos here, just something to fill the void of all this text.

Cheers,

Col-
