Jessi + Jez - Lyde Court Wedding Photography

You may remember back last year when I shot the smaller wedding of Jessi and Jez (link to blog). They brought their wedding forward to get married in November 2019 due to Jez’s illness, you can read more about the guys and Jez’s fight against cancer over on their GoFundMe <

Their original date for the wedding was May 2020, but they also bought this forward and had the wedding on February the 14th, which ended up working out really well as thanks to Coronavirus no one is getting married anytime soon!

7Artisans 12mm f2.8 lens for Fuji - Review

7artisans make cheap manual focus lenses that are ideal if you need something to fill a gap in your lens range, need an infrequently used focal length, or just want to try out something different without breaking the bank.

I got this lens to cover a job I had shooting some interior photos, while not all of the shoot was done this wide it was good for those tight spaces where the 16mm just wouldn’t have cut it and I didn’t want to fork out for the Fuji 10-24mm (my gear already covers the top end of this range) and I’m not a fan of renting lenses.

Fuji X100F - Coming back to the X100 series

It’s been a long while since a Fuji X100 series camera was part of my kit bag, but with the addition of my own Fuji X100F (in stylish black) that is no longer the case.

The original X100 was my first X Series camera back in the day, it was a slow little thing back then but it was just wonderful to use, it started my Fuji journey and led me through a range of X cameras to where I am today.

Inspiration - Photography Books

I’m a big fan of photo books for inspiration, all too often scrolling through instagram can leave me feeling uninspired, after seeing such an array of incredible work in stunning location. It’s at these time I find it good to pick up a book, a curated selection of images sometimes with some method is great to look through and feel inspired once again.

I did a short book review a few years back, if you are interested you can read this here<
