Ben & Jaime - A Lyde Court Fete Wedding in Herefordshire

If it's dark then I'll shoot it dark.

If it's dark then I'll shoot it dark.

Ben and Jaime had their garden party/fete wedding at Lyde Court in Hereford, opting for a short day I was only shooting up to about five, after which they and the family set off on their honeymoon.

I started the day in the white room at Lyde, which is a perfect setup for the getting ready stuff, nice and bright with some very quirky touches, whilst this was going on I had a good wander around Lyde getting some shots of the venue ready for the day, it was a bit windy and a bit wet, but as the inside of the barn is just stunning this didn't matter at all.

The day was nice and relaxed with about 60 guests, the ceremony was in the barn which can be a bit of a challenge as it's super dark in there but for me it's all about capturing the feel of the wedding so if it's dark then I like to use that to my advantage by taking a silhouette shots etc.

The day was shot on my usual wedding setup: Two XE-2's One XM-1 + 12, 23 & 56mm lenses.

I hope you enjoy the post, feel free to drop a comment below,
