My first wedding of the 2014 was Sam & Thom's down in a very sunny Cardiff, the weather was fantastic for a January wedding and I couldn't be happy to look out of the windows when I woke up to see clear blue skies. Awesome.
This wedding started at Cardiff City Hall, which is a beautiful building inside and out, and made for a great setting for a wedding, just after the ceremony we headed to the gardens to capture a few formal shots then made out way to the Ty Mawr, a great pub just outside of Cardiff that had amazing views and a cosy atmosphere inside.
The reception consisted of a great tea party and just a fantastic atmosphere, it was a real pleasure to photograph, the place looked awesome as did everyone at the wedding.
I'd like to thank Sam & Thom for putting on a really awesome day that looked great and was just so relaxed, exactly my sort of wedding!
This wedding was also interesting in the fact I only used Fuji cameras for the whole day, this was primarily 2 XE1's with the 35mm and 60mm lenses, and I can say with confidence that I didn't miss the DSLR one bit, these cameras are just prefect for documentary wedding photography and will be my go-to kit for all my weddings in the future.
To Sam & Thom I wish you a lifetime of happiness and all the best for your future, if you are planning a wedding at Cardiff City Hall then do get in touch.
