Switching to Fuji / Weddings and more with Fujifilm X cameras / pt. 2

The growing trend: More and more photographers are ditching the DSLR for mirrorless cameras

The growing trend: More and more photographers are ditching the DSLR for mirrorless cameras

I've decided to add a second part to this blog post to show more of my wedding photography with the Fuji X cameras and where I think I'll take my gear next, if you've not read the first part of this blog I'd recommend you give it a look, you can find it here.

Since the last post I'm still shooting with the Fuji gear, I've made a few changes to my kit and this is one aspect I'd like to discuss in a bit more detail. The main change is upgrading both of my XE-1 bodies to the XE-2 this change hasn't changed the quality of the images I take, but it makes things overall much slicker, the faster speed and focus make getting the image easier and the better EVF make low light shooting much more pleasurable!

I'm still the 35mm & 56mm having sold the 60mm, and only switching to the 18mm a few times during the day when I really need wide, I'll take the X100 out during the wedding to get quiet shots or candids, especially with bright outside weather where I love the X100. I don't feel I need any more lenses for this kit, I'm very happy with what I produce with what I have, there's always the temptation to upgrade but to be honest it would be money wasted, better off spending it on a trip somewhere!

As for the weddings I've been shooting some real treats recently and have got a very busy summer coming up so can't wait for that.

I'll move right onto some images now, not all of these are from weddings but all are shot with the Fuji gear over the past year or so.

Feel free to comment at the bottom,

Cheers,

Col-
