Shooting Film with the Olympus OM-2 + 500mm 1.8 Zuiko Lens

I haven't shot film for about 10 years and even then it was only in College and I didn't really have any idea what I was doing at the time, I thought the other day that it might be time to give this a crack now that I'm where I am with my digital photography, all in all to have a bit of fun and see what I can make.

I borrowed my Dad's old OM-2 which I've used a few of the lenses on my Fuji cameras, then decided to slap on an OM 50mm/1.8 which I got off eBay for £15, bit of fungus on the inside but a great lens all round.

The next stage was to acquire some film, which was given to me by my friend Sam who had a bag full of expired film he aquirred from his Dad, the film was a 36 roll of 400 speed colour film, after checking how to actually load the film I was away.

It took a fist bit of time to start taking photos, the OM-2 is still in great working condition but having a single speed of film and no auto exposure meant me taking much more time with the photos. Overall I took this roll over about 2 weeks, nothing I shot was too precious as I had no idea about the outcome, not only my limited skills but using films that's 6 years past it's process date is a world of unknowns.

Before I knew it my 36 exposures were up and it was time to drop it off for processing, soon after I loaded up with some ISO 200 colour film which I prefer the results from, I also took this time round to get a CD made of the images, so here are a few of my results.
